Monday:
Double PE- We started to learn the rules of tennis. We learned how to serve and stand in ready position. This class helped me get along with my classmates and also get better at tennis as I have a lot to be desired.
Enterprise Education- We talked more about the mini company and went through definitions to do with a business. This class helped me learn new things about business as I didn’t do business since my first year of secondary school.
Double Drama- We took notes about communications and for the second class we went down to the gym. We played killer wink and a game that made us act our emotions through our face expressions. This class helped me to act a bit which I wouldn’t voluntary do in front of people before.
English- We looked at racism and how the definition describes more than just your skin colour. This class helped me to learn more about racism and I learned things I didn’t know before.
Music- We didn’t have music as a guest speaker came to talk to us about being sober on junior cert results night and how you can have a lot more fun without drink.
Math’s- We took notes on channels and how analytics affects the business model. This class helped me learn more about analytics which I didn’t know before.
Irish- We completed a page on matching up keywords about sports and we watched a bit of the match against Cork and Galway in Irish. This class helped me listen to Irish and try to understand it.
Tuesday:
Tutor- We talked about the two-day workshop on sport and we signed up for St. Dymphna’s.
Double Construction- We learned how to construct a cube on the computer and how to take a piece out of the cube. This class helped me learn how to construct on the computer.
Drama- We went down to the gym and did games that made us act. This class helped me improve my confidence in class.
Guidance- We talked about work experience and discussed different jobs. This class helped me figure out what work experience I wanted to do.
French: We had no class today.
Triple art- We drew objects from the art room and then we went down town to draw interesting parts in the town. This class helped me develop my art skills.
Wednesday/Thursday:
For these two days, we had no class due to a two-day workshop we were doing.
Friday:
Irish: We watched a short film called ‘Claire sa speir’ and we did questions on it. This class helped to get better at learning and listening to Irish.
Double science: We registered to the BT young scientist and wrote up our one-page proposal. This class helped me communicate with my classmates.
Math’s: We started the second module of the business plan to seaclaid ltd. This class helped me to learn about how to sort data which I didn’t know how to do before.
Music: We got into groups for the music project and started to think of ideas. This class helped me to learn about the different genres of music.
English: We read Martin Luther King’s speech and did questions on it. This class helped me to understand more about his speech.
