Class: Art
Teacher: Miss Lawne
Date completed: 1st of February.
Group or individual project: individual project.
Summary: We started out with a slab of clay each. We then rolled leaves into each slab and cut around the edges. I placed each leaf slab onto my mould and smoothed it out. After a few days it dried. I then painted it with special clay paint. To get the effect I wanted I got a wet sponge and wiped off excess paint so the paint goes into each crevice. When it dried miss Lawne placed a white mixture on it to give it a shine then put it into the kiln to harden.
What you learned: I learned that ceramics is not as hard as I thought and that I enjoyed doing it.
What could have gone better: I could have finished it faster.
How it helped to achieve my aims and objectives of the year: This helped me to achieve my aims and objectives of the year as I now know more techniques in pottery.
